OUR STORY
Midtown Vineyard Church was founded in 1997 as Seacoast Vineyard Church by Pastors Tim and Karen Holt, a young family born and raised in the Grand Strand with a heart to reach the people of Myrtle Beach for Christ. In January 2021, Tim and Karen retired, and passed the mantle to Tommy Moore, another Myrtle Beach native with a love for the beach and a passion to bring our community to know Jesus. Our church has continued to grow. In late 2022, to avoid name confusion, we rebranded to Midtown Vineyard Church.
Midtown Vineyard Church is a part of the Vineyard Movement founded by John Wimber.

We are a group of ordinary people learning together what it means to follow Jesus.
We are a gathering of Jesus followers who long to develop intimate communities so
deeply in love with one another that the world marvels.
We are a gathering of Jesus followers who are committed to digging deeply into
Scripture and taking it seriously.
We are a gathering of Jesus followers who long to worship God with authentic
reverence, as if He was listening individually to each person.
We are a gathering of Jesus followers whose goal is to live holy lives and to challenge
each other to go out and do the work.
